ive me your hands, if we be friends...

Ever since the World Wide Web has gained it's fame (or infamy) there has been a huge boom of personal and commercial web pages. It doesn't take long to discover, bouncing from one end of the net to the other, that they're all the same, really. The instances of true, brutal creativity on the web are so few and far between that I think it's important to celebrate the few gems that are out there. This site is one of those. Worship it.

I am trying to compile a list of sites that are devoted to the enjoyment and wonderment of thought, sites that inspire creativity and open mindedness. Admittedly, it is a small list, but things have a tendency to grow over time, given the proper conditions. If you have any additions to the list I would be thrilled to hear about them.

The Power of Words
Read and ponder wisdom of the ages, from shakespeare to machiavelli to Homer Simpson.

f we shadows have offended,
Think but this and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend:
If you pardon we will mend.
And, as I am an honest puck,
If we have unearned luck
Now to 'scape to serpent's tongue,
We will make ammends, ere long;
Else the Puck a liar call.
So, goodnight unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Robin shall restore ammends.

- Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream (V, 1)
